So I’m upgrading my 1030 to 1050 and I have to say the 1030 is amazing at recording and not recording solid 400 FPS and 600 FPS while not recording any advice on how much FPS the 1050 will get?

Yea I have a GTX 1080 8gb and I only get around 300-600fps because I have an i5-4460

Upgrade your CPU and youll definitely see a crazy performance boost

You don't even need a graphics card to play minecraft, it's that CPU based. GPUs mean almost nothing when it comes to FPS in MC. Do not upgrade your GPU expecting a performance increase.

Thats like the definition of bottleneck lmao.

As its been said before many times, Minecraft is a CPU demanding game. And on top of that, it can't take advantage of multiple cores, so you need the best single-core performance CPU. The new Coffeelake CPUs have one of the best single core scores.

Also, don't buy a GPU right now. The crypto miners have bought almost every GPU, so the prices are way over 2x the normal amount. It would be best to wait until there are a lot more cards in stock, the new gen GPUs come out, or until miners stop buying every card.

You play minecraft... even though the 1050ti is hella cheap.

I'd say the 1050ti is a steal, I run shaders on like 190 FPS on minecraft nad PubG on like 70 on high...\

I would recommend it if you can afford it. Unless you have a terrible CPU like 2.7GHz then I'd upgrade that for sure.

My specs
AMD ryzen 1300x 3.5 GHz
8gb DDR4 Ram
MSI Bazooka motherboard (VR Ready)
GTX 1050ti Over clocked edition 4gb DDR5 Video ram. < $220
850W power supply.
1tb hard drive

im trying to save up for a new cpu. probs gona go for like an i5 7th gen
That would be a good choice. You might also want to invest a bit into the Hyper 212 evo, and get a really good fan for it. I did that and I was able to easily reach temps that you could only get with a $100+ cooler.
Then just overclock and enjoy even higher FPS.

I5s are considerd old now... and expensive.... They're also locked so no overclocking. I'd recommend the ryzen, 1600x, 1300x One of those are better option. Cheap, faster and unlocked. The more GHz the better it is gaming wise, threads are better for rendering stuff and video editors.[DOUBLEPOST=1517461515][/DOUBLEPOST]

Overclocking your CPU uses it up and makes it do things out of it's normal state. Most people who do that end up replacing there CPU's faster... So that's why I don't overclock.
