You could maybe shade around behind the character to separate the character from the background, making it easier to distinguish from the background. Also, might have been on purpose, but make the bow/arrow proportionate to the character. (make them larger)
Also, you should decide if you're drawing something 3d (having the side of the head shown) or something 2d. Don't try to blend them.
