This has been suggested, but was asked to be moved to a it's own thread, so I am doing that.
The suggestion is that following people would actually do something (Ex: Notify when they post a thread, notify when they change status, etc)
and all notification options would be toggleable.
I think this would be a nice feature, as when I followed LonelyTree I was doing it because I thought it would tag me when he posted a new voice clip on his voice acting thread. :(

Something like this: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/the-following-alerts.2126/
^^^^^^
Admin edit. I have no idea what xenforo is XD
But I assume that is what it would be like!

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Maybe email notifications like when you watch a thread.

I mean, that should be an option, but personally I check MCM way more than email so I would like it as an alert

I feel like this suggestion did not get the love it deserves. But there is no "Up-Thread" for suggestions. So I will make this post.

+1. I often think about how little a follow really means or what purpose it serves, apart from good feels and bragging rights.

Or not, sorry I commented my opinion rather than giving you a positive rating?
The agree button is not a positive rating and you are supposed to use it so as to be less spammy. That site is made by the owner of MC-Market :p
It is 100% okay to give your opinion but just agree also so that people can quickly see the number of people that support the suggestion.

It being an option would be good, see, i'm completely opposite to you, I don't check MCM more than my email, every email I get will ping my phone, therefor I read it.
So, a messaged, response etc will ping my phone, in response having me check MCM :)

I don’t want to get spammed with useless info from other people feeds.
I was thinking perhaps an option to be alerted to when the person you follow posts a thread. And you could toggle it I guess.

There are no plans to implement a change like this, especially considering this suggestion didn't get too much feedback from enthusiastic users. The current system works just fine, I don't think sending out alerts for other peoples activity is necessary.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
