Hello MC-M,
this is my first suggestion and I don't know if people would like it or not. My suggestion is to have a reputation requirement inorder to minimize the people with no rep trying to get loans. It won't completely remove scammers, but it will help a bit. And it will also be more organised

Hmm this might resolve in fake ripping but I think your idea would be effective if they have to have a certain amount of rep and time on the market.

this would make it easier for people to exit scam
How so? We are just removing no reps, from requesting loans[DOUBLEPOST=1505185403][/DOUBLEPOST]
because rep doesnt mean jack shit lol
It does, it means your active, and not a person who has been inactive for a long time and finally decides to get a loan

I like the idea of more requirements to make sure bare-minimum members don't abuse the section but I feel like this would simply cause members to do even more rep4rep or farming any way possible by +repping for "my friend" or "nice guy" only with slightly more details.

Won't people who give loans, check their rep? At least thats what they should do

I just re-read what you originally wrote.

I thought you meant to create threads in that section, but you're talking about replies. In that case, there should be at least some reasonable requirements that wouldn't keep out too many members but would make sure likely scammers can't post.

I agree, however I think I have a more built upon idea. I don't think it is fair to limit those who do loans to a more limited group, if they want to take the risk they may. But, for ease of loans, I think a Private Loans forum, similar to the Private OG forum may solve some of the issues you brought up.

I disagree'd. Heres why. Say the requirement of rep is 5 to get a loan. Rep could be achieved a lot of ways. One being lists of semi ogs or free stuff. Some people don't give rep for transactions. Anyways I really don't think rep should be a requirement for anything and it comes down to deciding if you want to loan a member that joined a week ago $50 with 20 posts or someone thats been here for 6 months. There are reputable people with no rep with lets say 20 vouches and 1.2k messages been here for a year or two but only 2 rep. :p

Why should there not be 2 requirements? The already in place requirements, AND reputation?

It still means more than account age and posts though.
If we heap this on top of the other requirements, it would make it that much harder to get in and exit scam.
I see what you mean, if this was the only requirement exit scamming would be easier, but adding this to what exists already will work.[DOUBLEPOST=1505406129][/DOUBLEPOST]So I'll give this an agree as long as it's an ADDITIONAL requirement. I would say something like a total of 20 positive reputation (aka each negative subtracts from the total). It's not particularly difficult to reach that number, if you do a few smaller deals. While I do not currently have that amount, this is also because Idgaf, I never ask people to leave reputation, and most deals I do start at $30 and are closer to $100 in most cases, while most smaller deals would be around the $5-10.

I'm saying it's an additional requirement. Time + rep
