Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but I alternate between light and dark theme almost every single day depending on what ambient environment I'm in. It's certainly not the end of the world, but it would be a nice quality of life feature if the website could automatically change theme when I change theme/mode on my device.

For those of you who're unaware of what I mean, iOS and many flavors of Android have system-wide dark/light modes that the users can toggle between. I know macOS has them too, though I'm unsure about Windows. Many apps and websites respect this system-wide mode and others… don't. Prime example of an app/site that doesn't care is YouTube. A good example of a site that does is DuckDuckGo. If you're on a device with a system-wide dark/light mode, try going to DuckDuckGo and alternating between them. It'll automatically update.

I'm not sure how difficult of an implementation this is for MCM, but if it's feasible, I think it should be added as a toggle-able option.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

It's easier to change the theme on site than it is changing it on your device, and maybe some people want light theme on their computer when their OS is dark theme. It would just make a lot of unnecessary options for users that don't want it to sync, and it's probably not the easiest thing to implement either.

Why do this when it's so easy to switch on site? Literally a button in the top-right corner

That’s why I said it should be toggle-able. If users don’t want it to sync because they always want it one theme (regardless of what their OS is on), they could toggle the option off.

It’s one button for every site that fails to add this feature. It gets to be a lot of buttons overall. This is exactly why the web is ironically the biggest hurdle in dark mode’s progress. Having it happen automatically is a step in the right direction.

I didn't even know this was possible as there are no sites I visit that actually have this implemented, With XenForo I don't think it would be super difficult because of the addon system but I could be wrong as I've never messed with it much.

Also yes: Windows does have Light mode

While cool, I feel like in practice this would basically never be used. I don't know anyone that updates the colour of their OS often enough that it becomes annoying to have to click a button to change your theme.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion
