Welcome to my thread, this is the most latest, and recent code archive that I had from my old server uPvP; The other owner has gone, and sold the source code, without my permission, and he persisted to continue selling it. Yeah, You'll need to use BuildTools from spigot 1.8.8 maven, pom, and jar version, just remove the repositories as they are no longer accessible.

so I removed the repositories, would this work just compile it now, or do I have to add buildtools?

Download BuildTools.jar from spigotmc.org, then do java -jar ./BuildTools.jar --rev 1.8.8 in terminal.

Nope, however You do need maven installed locally on Your PC, and installation guide from the official website can be found here: https://maven.apache.org/install.html
