Hey everyone, my name is Dan and I am new to the MC Market community. I was involved in the Minecraft server scene from 2015 to 2018 and have worked as a developer for a few large servers, but I took a break this year so I can have more time and learn programming that's not related to Minecraft. When I'm not programming, I like to snowboard, go to the gym, and play guitar.

I plan to start offering web development and possibly plugin development services on this site starting at the new year. I am excited to become part of this community; anyone have some words of advice?

Welcome! I'd say find your niche. There's so many people offering generalised services that it's going to be very tough to stand out unless you cut your prices down to practically nothing. Find something you're good at and enjoy, and push that as much as you can.

For example, I'm an artist and I offer vector design, which is something that few do exclusively. Works for me!

hi[DOUBLEPOST=1575324058][/DOUBLEPOST]Mainly build a presence in the area you're looking to work in, build up a positive reputation. Starting off will always be tough around here with little rep, just don't leave go of it too soon. You'll be fine I'm sure
