There are a ton of things you should look out for here.

#1: Whenever you are dealing with someone off-site, (whether that be on discord, teamspeak, etc.) ask the person to message you on MCM before you continue dealing with them. If they refuse to, or say they can't, I'd recommend not dealing with that person. They are most likely an impersonator, and a lot of those have been going around recently. (ask Violet)

#2: Whenever you may be trying to buy something from someone/someone is trying to buy something from you, make sure to use a reputable middleman/middlewoman. (such as Violet) Using one will reduce the chances of you being scammed greatly.
