Okay? Doesn't mean it's fine to nothing, if so might aswell give me the tag also.
He shown he's mature and capable of doing the job, other than that it's voluntary.
In the UK we have 'special constables'

These guys are volunteer constables who have the power to arrest like a normal constable, but they work in their own time and it's entirely voluntary. I can't go and say I want the power to arrest, make me special constable, you need to qualify for it. If you qualify through the normal checks a constable would get, you're in, but you work in your own hours whenever you want (there's a minimum I think, but it's very low) and you also have the power to arrest and detain people, like a normal constable.
