About half the people I know with one have a broken screen and say they are not going to get another one because they always break.

I heard they use very cheap/fragile glass so more people break them, therefore giving them more business

Looked it up on ebay awhile ago, a new piece of glass costs like $12, and people at the mall charge $120 to install it... We should open up a business like that.

It is not 12$ lol like the 6plus screen is 300+ Some are 20$, but that is low and most likely a bad quality screen

My 6s cracked earlier. Not even 2 foot drop. $99 after applecare+ to replace. -_-

It really depends. My older brother has worked at computer/phone repair places for years.
They do mark it up a percentage, Only to make profit, Yes.
But the screens cost a hell of alot more then $12.
For example,
An iPhone 4s Full Front & Back Replacement, Runs them about $10 for the back, $30-35 for the front. If they charge $100 to fix it, After costs, It's $45 in parts, Then the actual 30 minutes in labor, So thats $5 depending on where you work, Shipping for the parts, Profit ends up being $50, But then you have to take into account, Store advertising, Electricity Bills, All employees pay, Etc.
In the end, They end up making $25 or so off one repair.

Looks like free shipping to me, and its only $10 and comes with some really bad, but workable tools.

Here is some more, that are even cheaper, cheapest one is from china which would take like 25 days to ship, but its okay because a repair shop should always keep stock.
