Hi,

So, i do wish to learn Java. I know it takes a lot of time, and that it is not just something that can be done within a week or so. I know it takes months, years. All i'm asking for here, is to tell me what program i have to download, and how i basically start the fresh "site" where i can start coding. Because i've seen some YT videos, and apparently when i download those they also download, mine is somehow a updated version, and by that i cannot follow up what the fuck i have to do.

I hope some sick dev's can help me out here :^)

And if you have a video that is detailed and tells me what to do download and how to start with my first project, well sure hmu with it! But just make sure that once i download the program they request, that it's actually the one and same version they show in their vids.

You guys dont understand. The videos of exactly showing how to start the first project, such as "Hello World", isn't working correctly, because once you download those programs they use, as they state you have to, you'll see a difference, and afterwards you dont know what to do, to start your first "Hello World". That's what i'm asking a small help to.

You won't need any special programs to start learning. However, I highly suggest you to get an IDE. You can get IntelliJ for free if you are a student.
I myself started learning Java a while ago, I had experience with Javascript for over 2 years though and therefore already knew most about the syntax. I'd suggest you set some goals for a program which takes like console arguments and does stuff with it or so. The beginning is always hard but it gets easier with every day.

You would also have to have Java on your PC of course ^^

Download eclipse or intelliJ, then search up "TheSourceCode coding tutorials" on YouTube, that's how i'm learning rn

To learn java, I used the creator TheNewBoston to learn on youtube. Not only are they short tutorials at a time, he goes and expains it very well. (this is my opinion)

Please don't go straight into this without having a basic understanding of Java Programming, you'll be trying to run before even walking here.
