After being screwed over more than enough times on chargeback cases that I deserved to win, I decided to step up and start a petition. Yes, I know that 100 signatures is nothing, but that's the default amount, and I hope to exceed that by thousands. I encourage all of you guys to sign and even share the petition found here:

https://www.change.org/p/paypal-mastercard-american-express-visa-discover-network-improve-the-system-in-which-paypal-chargebacks-are-handled-for-intangible-goods

Even if you don't own a server, please contribute a few seconds of your day to this cause. Together, we can make a difference, no matter how small that may be.

Every day, hundreds of chargebacks are placed against sellers of intangible goods on PayPal. If the buyer made the charged back purchase with their credit card, it is not in PayPal's jurisdiction to handle the dispute. Additionally, PayPal's sellers are not covered by PayPal Seller Protection if the item that is charged back is an intangible good. As a result, the buyer's credit card company always has the final decision when it comes to addressing the evidence provided by sellers within chargebacks. As it is the credit card company's prerogative to keep their customers using their service, the decision made within these disputes in many cases can be against all logical sense. Many sellers of intangible goods online, continue to lose chargeback cases although they've spent countless hours providing evidence that can help the credit card company handle the dispute and get a clearer picture of what's going on. The current system is very flawed. Essentially, it allows people to steal online goods/services from business owners, through the medium of the credit card company's agenda. Changes and improvements must be made to ensure that chargeback cases are handled more seriously and those that are reviewing them are unbiased.

By supporting this petition, you can help bring awareness of how unfair this current system is, in hopes that in the near future, big credit card companies, such as Visa, American Express, Mastercard, and Discover Network, will be able to change their methodology in dealing with these cases in order to fairly represent their customer's needs, without impeding upon the revenue of rightful online business owners across the world. Additionally, your support of this petition can encourage PayPal to protect their online business owners by providing seller protection to transactions involving intangible goods.

lol you're retarded if you think PayPal or Mastercard will care. this could have 1mil signatures and it still wouldn't matter.
Once again, it's not about having PayPal or any credit card company care. This is why I state in the petition "By supporting this petition, you can help bring awareness of how unfair this current system is..."

I don't expect any major changes to be made, however making people that aren't in this community aware of the situation that many server owners and online business owners face is very important and deciding not to spend a minute of your time to click a button and support your fellow community members is extremely selfish.

Supported, at the same time though, there is some responsibility on our end as owners with products or hired for projects or services.
I always ask the person sending me money to put in the notes
"This product is what I asked for / expected, I see no immediate reason to Charge-Back."
Which I can use in a heartbeat in a case to win.

This will work for art work, banners, services, maps, plugins, etc.

If that's not included then the sale stops there and I walk away, I provide proof of and let my reputation speak for me when they suggest I might scam them. If you're not a trustworthy person, it will be hard to get that from them.

If it's a product on the server, I almost always refund their money.
1. I'd rather not have a charge-back case win and be held against me.
2. Only about %0.1 of my transactions are a chargeback, if that. So it's rare in the first place.

It also helps to abide by the Mojang EULA and only provide non Pay-To-Win products, so even if they do chargeback it's not like they just got free in game currency, or OP items, etc.

Then I get the satisfaction of banning their IP from the server, forums, reporting them on PayPal and Buycraft, and then saving their information for future evidence if needed.

Deal Smart, Be a good guy, Be honest, less people will fuck you over.
