I really need help to change IP, it's really not that simple.

I've been trying for so long and I've tried every single tutorial on Youtube & Google. My IP is dynamic I've checked that a lot. Please comment on the thread or PM me onsite if you think you can help me out

Thanks a lot

my friend used to be able to change like 1 digit on his mac address and it would change his whole ip every time.
That would make sense if it was possible to spoof the MAC address of the router, but you would have to get root access to it I believe, via SSH.
But even so, it wouldn't be done from the ISP's site, and it wouldn't be changing it, just spoofing it. Big difference :/

pet Your best bet if you've already called your ISP would be to factory reset your router, as others have said. This should clear the DHCP lease on your end, but this might not even work as you could be assigned the same IP address again (due to the DHCP server having a lease table).

You might be able to find when the lease expires from your router, but it'll depend on the manufacturer:

(static IP, so doesn't expire, but will give time for dynamic IP addresses)
Code:
Lease Obtained : 12/16/2018 11:15:23 AM
Lease Expires : 12/16/2018 11:15:23 AM

pet have you tried accessing your routers settings?
Yes I have and I changed the MAC Address and it didn't work. Then I changed stuff in my LAN settings and it fucked up the internet completely, so had to use my dad's ipad to login and change it back to the default[DOUBLEPOST=1550574256][/DOUBLEPOST]
Did you try turning it off and on again?
Yes and I turned off the modem, before i slept and turned it on next morning and it didnt change. I've also tried to stick a pen into the "RESTART" button and it just restarted with no ip change
