[Help] Factions Server Or Survival Server?

Hey bois,
So like I have been playing minecraft for like 8 years now. Haven't play it since 2018, Because of the whole quarantine shit i was pretty much all bored at home so i decided to get back into minecraft again and i was mainly a factions player. In just 2 years time all the servers have changed drastically , everything is too op and all the severs are pay to win and i missed the old school classic factions/severs .

Hoping that there'd be more people like me I planned to make a classic old school minecraft server which is not really pay 2 win nor too advanced , just want the players to get the nostalgic feeling of playing the old classic minecraft and basically just have fun.

So like theres a conflict within myself to whether start a factions server or a survival server ;/
my end goal is not to really make profit out of this server but to get players to play on it. WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS SUGGEST ?

I completely agree with you! I set up Minecraft servers for people, if you want some help setting up a survival server, I could come to help you for free. I think survival would be the best, as it really makes you think of the old times.

Its something personal to decide. What do you like the most?
If you enjoy factions go for it because people will feel the passion and love
But do you enjoy having a survival more and if that makes you happy go for that

Survival and Towny were the days. Loved playing it back in 2013.

I also loved Survival. I played on a server back in the days with no Essentials and no cheats. Basically if you died and you didn't have the coordinates it was a big fat R.I.P

I would have loved to maybe make a survival server and I do have the money but eh

I can setup a factions server, but in my opinion a custom game mode would be nice, i had an idea where basically someone creates a server similar to legend of zelda... i think that would be cool... i have the knowledge to set up a server like that as well, so if you want me to all i require is developer on the server!
