So, I bought GTA V and I get so much lag on my PC so I built one. Well, the one I built would freeze randomly, when I paused it would freeze and even if I moved to much it does it.... so I built ANOTHER and this one is 10x better than the last but it has the EXACT problem.... I am so annoyed that I paid $60 for a game that I can't even played and its been since November.... UGH I need help ASAP!

SPECS:
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon R7 240
2.34GHz CPU (QUAD CORE)
6 hard drives, running it on a 500GB one
Windows 10 Home

Btw I have reinstalled it 6 times... not worth doing it anymore so don't even bother telling me to try that

At this point I would play it on my other but this computer can play MC at 100-700 FPS, I can play Mafia 2 with no lag and even GTA 4 is playable.... I have a total of 19 games and this is the only one with this issue.... PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! I give up but need some help, otherwise I will just sell the discs and my GTA V account.....

I realize I'm a new user however I'm very good with computers, if you're willing to install team viewer I'll take a look for like $8.

I have had the AMD R7 240 in the past, and tried to play GTA 5 with it and also experienced severe lagging/freezing. I'm not sure if it was the CPU or the graphics card, but I just wanted to say when I had the R7 240, I also had issues running GTA 5.

I hope its not my GPU... ugh, imo its old but it plays games better than some more expensive GPU's

Microsoft wouldn't "use" your PC anyway. You shouldn't ever let anyone access your PC through TeamViewer or any other such programs though. Not unless you really trust them.

It could very well be your GPU. It's not that it's old, it's just not that powerful.
What's the full name of the CPU? You can get this by right clicking "This PC" (or "My Computer" on Windows 7 and earlier) and selecting Properties.

Also, what operating system are you using?
You could just post a screenshot of this section:
