Help HCF Optimizing

Hey, so im opening up a HCF server this saturday and i recently was looking for a host on minecraft market and i found alot of good deals so anyway i have bought a host for a pretty good deal $12 for 4GB i got this to test out the 'Host Strength' on SOTW Map 1 (also my computer can run better then the host)

This has a down side so im from the UK and this host is hosted in Canada and normally when i get 90-120ping i don't get lagg but for some reason on my server is lagging the potions register 2 seconds later while they have been thrown and also my friend from canada is experiencing this lag and he get 9ping to the server and the pvp in general is horrible also it lagging with only 2 people on the server (the server host has top specs)

I'm using Paperspigot for my HCF server and i have no idea on how to optimize it for a HCF server i have done some research and i can't find anything also i have done regular factions in the past but this is quite different to regular factions i only have ''24 Plugins Installed''

If there is anyone out there which can help me/send me optimised config that would be very helpful i hope someone is kind enough to give me a response and just help me out in general.

It sounds like a host problem to me, I suggest using a well known reliable host such as MC Pro Hosting or if you are more experienced consider using a VPS.

no it not my TPS it just laggy like when you throw healing pots they take like 2 seconds to register and the pvp is not smooth it really bad

Yeah then run some timings reports and see what is causing it.

Use a dedi atleast 20-30 gigs is used for a decent sized HCF server.

To be honest your still gonna want at least 20gb RAM. I wouldn't recommend going with OVH at the moment because they are getting DDoS'ed 24/7 and have network drops like crazy. https://www.mpgservers.com/ is a pretty good host at the moment.
