Help in starting off, and in learning programming.

So basically, i registered today.
I am looking for help in staring off.
I know nothing about vouches, ratings, and all of that spooky stuff.

Other thing is, I am going to new school in a month, where i am going to start learning to code.
I am interested in Java, because its focused on minecraft.
If i heard correctly, i am going to learn c language first, then c++, than java.
So, i heard when you learn c++, its alot easier to learn other languages, like Java.

Another thing.
Can i get any tips in actual learning those languages?
I am very dedicated and ready to 3-5 hours a day.

Java is not focused at Minecraft at all. Minecraft is built with Java, but Java itself is independent.

With java. However you said Java is focused on minecraft, implying that java is only used/mostly used for minecraft, when in fact that's probably at the bottom of the list of things to use java for

Check my merged post[DOUBLEPOST=1471120090][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, please don't learn java for minecraft. Learn the basics of java first, then get into the minecraft side of things. If you start trying to learn the bukkit api without knowing anything about java to begin with, you'll have a hard time

Well, i have not meant that, i meant that if i know java, i can make stuff for minecraft.

Eh. I can't help much, as I only spent about 3 months learning it and then kinda stopped. You just learn as you go, trial and error, etc. You're not gonna learn it real quick though, it takes a long time to perfect

There are plenty of developers on this forum, but I don't know how experienced they are. You can try going to the development thread and finding some people, asking them for a bit of help
