Have you tried backing up your Minecraft files and then doing a fresh re-install of the launcher, it could be something as simple as a corrupted file, This would be my own first steps in dealing with this sort of issue.
Second step: Double check that your Java is the correct version, sometimes if it's an older version this can cause conflicting issues with Minecraft.

Try downloading one of these versions. Also I reccomend renaming your current .minecraft something else so it can regenerate a new one then after you can drag and drop any mods or versions you want to keep
