Ngl no clue why you think it's appropriate to sit there and pretty much slander someone over such basic design, I see you're a designer yourself. Instead of saying change the whole thing grow up and say to him what to change. I think it looks better with that half circle
Nothing is really wrong with the knife in the logo
I think you should choose a different font and put the text either below the knife or inside of the metal part of the knife

The logo will work for something like an IRL shop (it looks like it was intended for that), I honestly think it's alright. It's not the best in my opinion, but do you really need the best? As long as it's achieved it's goal well its fine

The text doesn't really suit it at the size and angle, perhaps the text be a bit smaller and slanted a bit inside of the knife?

kids mashing on a logo clearly are mentally ill and deserve to be sent to a mental institution for evaluation to determine if they're a hazard to society. realistically speaking, youre not a professional and you never will truly be a professional that that type of attitude. stop acting like you're the next apple inventing the squircle, your designs are equally garbage and have zero artistic taste and look like they are poorly made in photoshop with minimal effort. please, sit down. at least this design has originality and doesn't scream photoshop.



jokes aside, nothing is wrong with the logo. i've seen, experienced, and have designed worse logos as a means of starting out. you do you with the resources you have with whatever budget you want. kids to actually bash on this are inexperienced, immature, and just not intelligent. +1 to OP for trying.

i voted for the one to keep the circle, it feels more uniform and symmetrical; but i'm bias because I generally like those types of designs. (i'm by no means a professional on this, its just how it feels to me as an outsider looking in)
