Hey there mate! Theres quite a few steps and process which I can tell you this is very, very time consuming. Ill try to make this as simple as possible for you:

Firstly, you need to sketch and draw what you want. This means logos, characters, banners what ever you wish to do. Now remember, your sketching so everything does not have to look perfect - this is mainly to give your self an idea of what it will look like when you scan it onto the computer

Secondly, you have to scan it! There are numerous apps out there for mobile devices that allow you to scan your images then upload it to your computer via email or sms. Also, if you have a printer, most printers nowadays have scanners built into them already.

Thirdly, you will need applications like photoshop. Now photoshop gets pretty pricey! But before you turn down adobe for there expensive yet brilliant products, if you still attend school some schools have access to some adobe software - BUT if you don't have access to adobe, there are plenty of brilliant and useful products like them. Some alternatives can be found here: https://beebom.com/best-free-photoshop-alternatives/

Lastly, once your hand drawing has been uploaded to your desired application, you start tracing, cartooning and perfecting it based on the tools that the software gives you. Now there are many methods on how to do this, allot can be found by a simply google search and all over youtube.

What I have listed is just the SMALL steps that it takes. Doing hand drawn art takes loads and loads of time. But don't let this scare you, as a good artist can make quite a lot of cash, and it is quite fun. I hope you got a general understanding from my broad post!
You explained the process before actually drawing ah ha, it gets a lot harder from there

Step one: magically wake up an artist..

You can obviously get better but it's not really taught, just watch some "totallydrawn" or "finsgraphics" on YouTube. I just use a nice pen and my iPad with the app ProCreate, I feel it's the most simple.
Thank you guys! <3

Buy a drawing tablet if you are going to use one don't waste your money there if you are not going to use one.
Watch tutorials.
Use adobe illustrator.
Copy others work in the start so you can get some ideas of how shading works e.t.c
