Hello!

First off, I know that some people who've made a good amount of money running servers wouldn't want to share their methods to get their server out there and that's totally fine.

For those successful server owners who don't mind sharing some knowledge though, specially in terms of advertising, I need your help :(

My server's nearly complete and the next step is to launch it. I don't want my hard work to go to waste just because I don't know how to advertise properly, here's some information about the server if it helps with the advertising methods people would (hopefully) recommend me:

  • A somewhat fresh take on Skyblock and Survival (a mix of the two)
  • Casual type of gameplay (though I can setup competitions and community events from time to time)
  • A "path" for players in terms of maxing out variables

I'm aiming to earn at least $300/month since that's the equivalent of getting an entry level full time job here, which I can't do since I still go to school.

I have a bit of money saved up that I can use to advertise but I honestly don't want to pour in a lot at first.

How should I advertise my server?

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

youtubers.
That's it.
Yeah, I would agree with NovaLegion. Youtube will be the best way.
Any specific type of Youtubers I should go for?

What size is ideal?

Is there a section here on this site that is for influencer marketing? A place where just Youtubers hang out?
I'd appreciate if you ask this in PMs as it isn't relevant to my thread, I don't want a random discussion going on here.

Youtubers advertise their services here.

I find serverlists more effective than youtubers in the long run.

Depends, I've paid for two fairly large youtubers and got 0 return except for when they live-streamed. Really depends on the youtubers base and the server you have.
