Hey guys, I'm still new to the minecraft scene, can anyone tell me briefly how minecraft servers work? how does the hosting work, I've seen stuff like $1 per GB, what does that mean? 1GB of ram or storage? How is it hosted.

I am interested in offering the best prices for hosting, in the near future, but need to know some details about it before then.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

1 GB of server hosting is 1GB of ram. The hosting company runs the hardware that you pay to have your server on. The price you pay per GB is usually based on the type of hardware your server will be on. For example, if you are paying $5 a gb on a host, the hardware will most likely be better than the hardware on a $1 a gb host. You can view the specs of the hardware on the host's website.

What have we learned? Don't use trash reselling hosts that are filthy cheap. Have a great rest of your day.

first of all you'll need to find a great host with a good support, afford enough money for a server that can basically run smoothly 8GB+ to be honest you can get as much ram as you want if you know how to optimize it and make it less laggy. i recommend shockbyte as a host (in my opinion)
