Help my Dog :(

Hello, I really never thought I would be posting something like this on MCM.. but here we are..

I have a male 11 year old Toy poodle, his name is Lamb. I love him dearly and has been my bestfriend for the past 11 years. In the last week i've noticed he has not eaten... he lays in one spot all day.. and he doesn't show any interest anymore to anything.. not even his chew toy.. To add onto that he doesn't get up and walk, or when he attempts to he just kinda crawls.. So I pick him up and carry him everywhere. Ive waited a few days to see if he had improvements but nothing.. in fact it seems to be getting worse..

Lamb has helped me through everything.. I know we all lose something but I wasn't expecting it to be now..

I would like your guys input on what to do... I would take him to the vet but we all know their famous answer "I'm sorry but the best thing for him would to put him down".. I don't want to do that to my dog.. I would feel guilty like I took his life... But at the same time I don't want to have him in agony if he's in pain..

The most important question is... Is it time for me to say goodbye to my bestfriend...

Please help..

Honestly, you don’t know what’s wrong with him. It could be cancer, old age, anything. I would make a vet appointment ASAP before you decide anything. If it’s something treatable, great. If not, it’s better to let him go as sad as it is.

If you can't go a vet atm check these out. I really recommend you go to a vet if possible. Would help you more than reddit but in the time being if you can't, reddit is a good place to go or some type of forum.

Also don't just not go to the vet because you don't wanna hear something. They could have told you it's some sort of infection and you needed to give meds to your dog. If you just decide not to go to the vet to be ignorant of what may happen that's stupid. If you never end up going the vet or in general, the reason could be is because that person could have prevented something.
