Hello guys so I have a serious question and want to know everyone else's opinion.

I recently traded $25.00 ($28.30 after tax) on Fiverr for the Supreme upgrade on MC-Market. As you can see I didn't get the supreme, I got the premium. User told me to purchase his $25 package on Fiverr and that he would buy me supreme on here and didn't. He then kept saying "I only got $20 from Fiverr" but anybody who uses Fiverr knows that they take percentages. Obviously he should have upped his price or whatever. I did my part of the deal and ended up paying $28. He then keeps telling me that he will not buy me the upgrade because he only got $20. In all reality he got $28 but Fiverr took their cut from his sale. I've tried explaining this multiple times and I really don't want to open up a scam report because I don't believe he's trying to scam, I think he's just dumb and doesn't know numbers.
Bottom line we agreed that I pay $25 (HIS PACKAGE PRICE ON FIVERR). Which I did. Wouldn't that mean the user is technically scamming me?

Just to help everybody understand a bit more.

You work a job, you calculate how many hours you worked that week & how much your getting paid an hour. For example lets say you come up with "$440" in that week. Obviously you aren't going to get the entire $440 because the government takes out a % of that for taxes. See where I'm going with this?

I don't know why he'd ask you to use Fiverr instead of just the payment method he has linked to it if he wasn't trying to prevent a chargeback or something down the line.
I wanted to go through Fiverr because I only have funds available right now on Fiverr. That's why we went through that.

If you suggested it, I'd say it was on you if he didn't use Fiverr often.
It only costs $15 to upgrade to Supreme from Premium though, just saying.
I sent him $25 and he only gave me premium? I got scammed atleast I think.

If he got 20%~ or more taken by Fiverr, then he just couldn't afford it. You didn't get scammed it's probably just that he didn't have enough funds.
but how is that my issue? I sent him $25 still?

It's your issue because you suggested doing it on Fiverr, and didn't inform him ahead of time of the fees associated with it.
An SR probably wouldn't hold up.
Um if he's using Fiverr he should already know that they take cuts?

Was he using Fiverr on a daily basis, or did you make him sign up in order to take the payment.
he signed up recently but I think we are handling it. I think its just poor communication on my behalf. User isn't a bad user just didn't understand a lot about how freelance work goes.

If the listing said Supreme, you should've been bought Supreme, not just Premium. Though, if the listing was made just for you, or upon your suggestion, I wouldn't see it as purely the sellers mistake, but also yours for not being clear about fees. In that case, I would probably ask for the. $5 extra he got back, or just send over the extra money if you really want supreme.

PURCHASES AND REFUNDS
You agree that you will pay for all products you purchase from MCM through the Service, and that MCM may charge your payment method for any products or services purchased from MCM through the Service. All gifted purchases to other users may not be used as a form of currency or trade. These are gifts, not a currency or middleman for your transactions. Prices for products and services offered by MCM via the Service may change at any time, and the Service does not provide price protection or refunds in the event of a price reduction or promotional offering. Any purchase made from MCM via the Service is non-refundable. If your account is suspended or terminated due to your breach of the TOS, you will not be refunded for any purchase made from MCM via the Service.
https://www.mc-market.org/wiki/terms/

So basically, you both violated the TOS from my understanding. Honestly why go through all the trouble when you could have just done it yourself through MCM.

However instead of bashing you on your poor decision making (someone had to), I'll answer the question within the thread. But first, there are some scenario questions that need answering. Did he have a set terms of service where you needed to cover for the fiverr commission fee as well or was the only price listed was the $25 for supreme and fiverr sales tax? If there was only $25 + sales tax listed that you needed to pay, then that's all you should be expected to pay. I'd say it would hold up in a scam report if this was the case. Lack of communication is your issue here so I'd suggest clearing up any confusion before sending anything (and maybe just go through MCM next time).
