Help/ Server version

This might sound like a stupid question... but i was wondering if anyone could help me change my server from 1.9 to 1.8. It says i need 1.9 to join but when i join in 1.9 it still says i need 1.9. So i want to change it to 1.8. Btw im using Multicraft

Your world would of generated in 1.9, so its probably not best to use that world going back to 1.8. Most if not all of your plugins will not be compatible if they were made for 1.9. It will be a great deal of work.

Btw, you need to make sure you are joining on the specific 1.9 version the server is (1.9.2 client cannot join a 1.9.4 server)
