Shut up everyone. What's a dedi that can support 325 players with little to no lag?

A buddy once told me that a good rule of thumb for determining the number of players that a certain amount of RAM can support is...

Take the {Amount of RAM in Megabytes} and drop the first number on the left. That is roughly the number of simultaneous players the server can support without plugins.

For example, 1024MB (1GB) of RAM can support roughly 24 simultaneous players without any plugins.
This is cool, however there's a flaw. 1124MB of RAM cannot hold 124 players. ;)

1,124 MB of RAM is also not a standard RAM amount. RAM follows this pattern... 512, 1024, 2048, 3072, etc.
Your correct however he did not state that the formula only works for the standard RAM pattern.
