not sure if this is the right category for this but heres what i need help with:

so basically i have a domain registered on go daddy and i want it to go to my web host, but i also want it to point to my minecraft server, and a subdomain to point to my craftingstore page.

the host requires me to point the name servers to it so i wouldnt be able to point them to cloudflare.

i want mydomain.com to point to the website and the minecraft server and store.mydomain.com to point to craftingstore, how can i do this?

any help is appreciated and if you need any more info or something please put it below.

You can’t have a website be ur domain.com and also a minecraft ip of domain.com you’d have to have play.domain.com or something like that.

Your host for the website host should’ve emailed you your cpanel i for and on the right hand side usually is your perosnal IP and also the Ip to use to direct your domain to the website. If you have this create the following;

A record pointing at: @ ur ip
A record pointing at: www ur ip

Next if you are trying to connect to cloud fare replace the current name severs to the one cloud fare provides. since you are using Retronode and i am a client there i know how it works. If you are still struggling please leave me a PM @ Mat#0003 and i will respond within 3-4 hours

Not necessarily.

To OP, there are always work arounds!
Setup an account at http://www.dot.tk/ (with login info you'll remember)
Register a free TK domain using your base servers IP address (127.0.0.1 or whatnot)
Then, where ever you set your DNS records, point a CName record to that TK domain, then use an SRV record to get rid of the port. Bingo.

Now you can just set-up your A Name records for your web host.

Although, I would really just recommend getting a dedi or VPS. It makes it much easier.

Additionally, you can use Cloudflare to add in custom name servers, thus appeasing your host.
Check out this article - https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/e...6-Setting-up-Custom-Nameservers-at-Cloudflare

Hope this helps, LMK if you have questions!
