Help with opening resource packs tab in 1.8

Hello MCM,
I'm PepRally, and I'm having trouble with opening the "Resource Packs..." when in any of the 1.8 versions. I can do it fine in 1.7 and fine in 1.9+. This has happened ever since I got my new computer. Anyone have some help?

Try to go to %appdata% and try and open it through there. See if it works. If not, perhaps deleted the Folder, and create a new one?

I'm sorry, what do you mean by open it there?

Also, what I have been having to do is whenever I want to get a resource pack on 1.8 I log onto a 1.7 or 1.9 launcher, change the resource pack there, then log onto 1.8 again and it is changed.
