I'm trying to remove the < > and change the chat colour for certain ranks how ever for some reason it remains the same despite being changed in the essentials config.




That's my essentials config and despite reloading this is what it remains in game.

Any help is greatly appreciated
Seems like chat becomes blue during reload but then when completed returns to normal < >

Have you got the EssentialsXChat.jar installed?

Make sure you have all the intended jars installed, as well just send a hastebin

Before you do anything, configure it like this

format: '{DISPLAYNAME}: {MESSAGE}'
#format: '&7[{GROUP}]&r {DISPLAYNAME}&7:&r {MESSAGE}'

#Mod: '{DISPLAYNAME}&8:&a {MESSAGE}'

You clearly know nothing about plugins

Check console errors for essentials chat, make sure you have it up to date, thats always the main problem

Are the ranks you have on essentials chat exactly the same name as in groupmanager/pex?
