Hey MCMarket!

I'm in need of help as a Moderator of HCFZone, I was wondering if 1.8.8 Spigot Version plugin configurations work on 1.7/1.8 Competitive Spigot Version. I was setting up a Test server for HCFZone and they decided to change to 1.7.10, I disagreed after spending alot of time on configuring plugins and such, I told them how about 1.7.10/1.8 competitive? They agreed, but I'm afraid that the configurations won't work and plugins such as KOTH, HCFactions and HCFStuff etc won't work.

Why didn't you just test it? Anyway, it probably will work. Quite a few plugins from 1.3 can still work on 1.9 editions of Minecraft. It only makes sense that the same will work in reverse.

Good question. Why didn't I test it?

Well, here's the answer. WulfHosting doesn't support past Spigot Versions. When I go to the WulfHosting Multicraft Panel, It shows "Server JAR" and It gives a variety list from Snapshots to Default to Vanilla to Bukkit and most importantly Spigot. However, It does NOT give a list to choose from Spigot 1.7.10 or past versions of Spigot, only the lastest one's which is probably 1.8.9.

Most hosting services allow you to upload a custom jar file. Follow these simple steps to install the jar file version you need.
1) Get the jar file you want from www.getspigot.org.
2) Stop the server
3) On the server homepage (Multicraft Panel) change the name of the existing jar file to the one you have downloaded.
4) Go to where the jar files are located in the ftp, most of the time in a folder called 'jar'.
5) Upload the jar file and start the server. Make sure all the plugins aren't broken from downgrading, and done!
