Hey, I have a small question about paypal

Alright, so I am currently 17 - turning 18 in December. Its been a while since I had used paypal, so I was shocked that they now require me to confirm my identity in order to use the platform. I started one back up because I am soon to be facing homelessness, and wanted to build up some money for when that time comes.

I receive 25 dollars from a commission, and BOOM. I cant use the money unless I verify. So here are my questions:

1.Can I send them my SSN (I am not 18 yet), and be able to get verified?
or
2.How can I gain access to my money without doing that step?

Keep in mind that I do NOT have a bank account, and I wont be able to get one until I am 18 years of age. Will my money at least stay in my account until I turn 18 in a few months?

They will most probably lock your account if you do not verify.

Not to brag, but I'm 14 I have 0 verification on my paypal account since My dad created it on 2014 and I have basically
no restrictions, at all. I have faced 0 pending payments (through my side) and its working good for me, My friend had a limitation on
his paypal account he is 14 aswell and couldn't really verify so paypal locked his account and gave them a 180 day notice, they
may or may not allow him to retrieve funds after 180 days. I don't know if you'll be able to wait that long but honestly paypal
is really full of bull shit at this point and I'd rather not use it.

I heard in some states (or countries for that matter) you are able to get yourself a credit card at the age of 16, might want to take
a look at that.

You will be locked out since you aren't 18. Your money will stay in the account (think they become available to send somewhere else after like 120 days or something? Idr, I was locked years ago and I WAS able to access my money at some point)

The money shows that it has not yet been claimed. Will the money stay on hold until December?

Do NOT I repeat do NOT verify with PayPal - they will ban you forever for signing up as a minor blacklisting but not limited to IP, bank account and card number.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do apart from make a new account with a new IP.

Same for if you verify when you're 18, your DOB will miss-match the one you provided when you signed up for paypal, so that's another ban..

If you can get your money back eventually, I do not know. Probably yes. But what I do know is that paypal is shady af with their limitations and lockings of accounts, and I never keep big amounts in there. Transfer it to a bank

The money will stay in your account until verified.

If PayPal took the money you would be able to sue them. Even though you did not abide by their Terms of Use, they don't know that, and it's best they don't find out!

ive had this paypal for like 2 months, already had thousands in and out and no problem. the worst they've done is held my money transfer for 24 hours to make sure it wasn't sus

You need to be 18 to have PayPal, end off. If you urgently require a PayPal make a new one, and once you reach 18 consider closing the PayPal account you made as a minor and create a new one to be on the safe side.

ssn doesn’t tell any information, it just confirms you’re actually a person. if you look at the card you’re given at birth that says your ssn all it says is your name.
