Hire a Manager

Hey,

Quick and Juicy suggestion - hire a Manager that will assist or complete the following:

Update and Inform the community on new changes to the forums
Direct Moderators on their tasks
Assist Mick

Or just in other words, interact and respond with the community so Mick can take care of more stuff such as actual changes to the site, dealing with uptime and money.

My suggestion for manager - Justis

Lead Mod is certainly not the same thing as a Manager, or at least in my opinion. It obviously depends on what permissions they receive or tasks they are asked to complete, although when you say "Lead Mod" that sounds like just an experienced moderator who assists Moderators themselves. Managers is a better title imo, because when you think of a Manager you almost think of the people who run the show.

Mick (and previously bebosny) has stated loads of times that they hire based on their own decisions and in their own pace, so I don't believe they will make a new position that is already being done by the staff team that already exists.
Mick runs the show, so I think he is capable of finding out what he needs or dont need on the staff side without community suggestions, as almost all staff-related suggestions boils down to "HIRE ME PLEASE"

Also i have a slight feeling you are trying to open a position for yourself or someone you know

I guess that makes sense, yet I still believe someone could help out with more administration and general community management. Also, no, I certainly wouldn't be ready for this position.

I think perhaps a specific community manager who solely deals with on-site stuff but not the technical work could be possibly helpful, or could help take work off of Mick. I do not believe Justis R is competent for the position of manager, let alone his current one however.
