My name is Mike and I am working alongside one of Minecraft's most prominent Twitch streamers on an upcoming fully customised network, from brand new minigames, custom texture packs and even original music!
The streamer attached to the project has 1 million subscribers on YouTube, 1 million+ followers on Twitter/Instagram and peaks at around 150k viewers concurrently on Twitch.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the next big thing in Minecraft servers. With compatibility across Java and Bedrock, we aim to be one of the most popular servers in the game.
Who we're hiring.
Our project is seeking out experienced full-time Java developers who have worked on large scale
server projects before. Preferably, you are someone who has a creative mind and is able to help in
the content creation process and bring your ideas to life through code.
Requirements
- Be aged 16 or over, if below 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian able to sign an NDA.
- 3+ years experience developing Minecraft plugins
- Good understanding of MongoDB and MySQL
- Good understanding of the Spigot API and NMS
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team on the same projects
- Experience working for a large Minecraft server (>1,000 players)
Desired Traits
- Ability to work in an organised manner, keeping to deadlines and goals.
- A creative mind, aiding in creating new content for the server
- Prior experience in using command-line Linux
- Knowledge of cloud scaling concepts
- Familiarity of the limitations of Java/Bedrock crossplay
- Flexibility in the time you're available to be online each day
- Able to communicate using a microphone
Compensation
Depending on your past experience and the time you're able to commit to the server, we will
be paying between £20-30/hr for this role.
