We are back, back again.
Who are we?
Island Clash is a completely custom server gamemode that is inspired by Clash of Clans, and Age of Empires. We've worked closely with a bunch of YouTubers since we launched in 2015, most prominently PrestonPlayz, MrWoofless, and Logdotzip. Since then, the product initially retired in 2017, and recently was relaunched with the same management, in 2019 under Island Clash Classic under a new Seasonal and competitive model.
What's in it for you?
We're looking to expand our close-knit team into a slightly bigger close-nit team. Island Clash is by no means a small, nor simple, project, and this creates a very rewarding environment to be in. We are naught but a bunch of guys looking to create a fantastic product all the while having a lot of fun. Having said that, fun does not pay the bills, and this is why we are looking to pay for contracted engineers on a per project basis from $100-200. This aligns with our Seasonal model, and allows developers to grow into the team.
Do you have the experience?
Things that are needed:
- At least 2 years in Java
- At least 1 year in relational database systems (MySQL or similar)
- At least 1 year in other data structures (Memcache, Redis, or similar)
- At least 16 years old, and able to sign contracts (or have them co-signed)
- Ability to take constructive criticism
- Ability to cooperate within a team
- Good time management
- Ability to think outside the box
- Write agile code that can be changed based off of project outlook
- Ability to estimate the general complexity of code; we want our product to be efficient
