Hi everyone,

Due to lack of interest with Minecraft anymore, I'm looking to pass on my server to another trusted player with the intentions of running everything whilst in my absence.

I have paid - 12 months of hosting through OVH, the server is entirely setup professionally. That includes lots of premium and custom plugins, graphics, discord, in-game builds and worlds, and plenty more I can list later.

We have a very small player base ranging from 2-10 online at once. But a lot of the time the server has 0 players online (off-peak). So keep that in mind!
We've been active for over a year now, however I could never put enough time into the server to win over players to stay.

The server is a SMP, 100% custom, we offer custom mobs, loot, quests, ranks, dungeons, custom enchants and charms.

Hi Tiga,

This project sounds cool, but my advice is to stay as far as you can from ServerPro, especially if you are going to be spending that much money. There are a ton of server hosting companies that can provide a much better service for the same price or cheaper.

$30/mo for 12GB at ShockByte
$36/mo for 12GB at GG Servers
$50/mo for Unlimited at MCPH

Those are just a few from a quick Google search, but there are a lot more. Also, if you are planning on spending $40/mo, you should look into getting a dedicated server.

I had no idea, well I'm still completely new to server-ownership and was left in the dark for quite a while. These options are wonderful!
Thank you for sending those XenVoltz, I feel bad loosing the sudden interest to keep working on my server however times have changed clearly. We're dealing with a whole new age of players.

That'll save me a lot of money. Do you know if the hostings will move the server files for you? I think that would possibly take me a year to download eek.

I am not sure--but if I were to guess--I'd say no. You'll most likely have to download the files from ServerPro and upload them to your new host.

Something you could possibly do is open two FTP clients (such as FileZilla or WinSCP), one connected to ServerPro and one connected to the new host, then you can drag the files from ServerPro over to the new host. This could help you avoid downloading anything, but depending on your internet speed, the upload may take a while. Not entirely if this would work as I have never done it, but it is just an idea.

Didn't even think of the FTP Clients, brilliant idea.
Can't promise my Aussie internet will be able to handle the great move... but It's worth a try.

I'm hosting with ServerPro on a 12GB Ram plan. This costs me around $40 USD per month and our domain costs $20 per year which I'm happy to pay for out of my own pocket - for the next 2 months unless I see the server show clear inactivity and no momentum, which will cause me to revoke funding.
