Holographic Displays plugin error

Hello,
I am trying to use the holographic displays plugin, should be able to find it if you give it a quick search in google.
I have used it before successfully but now when I try to use it, it says "/hd (startup error)" when i type /hd or any other holographic displays command.
What is wrong ? On their website they have a ticket open since like a month ago but no reply yet.

If there is anyone currently using this plugin that could give me some assistance then that would be great, even an alternative plugin to holographic displays would be great too, just as long as it functions the same, has floating text.

To addon to this, if you're using 1.10, it generally has this error.

What version are you using?

Provide the error.

I am using Spigot 1.9.2
I have tried various latest versions, searched the plugin and installed the .jar, it created the folder. I use a control panel for my server, i searched the holographic displays plugin on the plugin manager and it says deleted ? Do any of you know a suitable version that could work with the version of spigot I am using ?
Or should i use bukkit, a slightly different version, like 1.9.4 ? Even though I think i have already tried that.
