Just FYI most of the companies here bullshit their ddos mitigation.
For good reason too, kids don't read into what they really get just what people claim they have. If you need TRUE 50Gbps of mitigation than I seriously doubt anyone here would be about to do that for you.
Look into Psychz. Their 50Gbps mitigation is 400 a month for a dedicated line: (all with a /27)

Most hosts get a dedicated line for their cabnet and share it like you said. However there's next to no way these hosts are offering 500+ gbps mitigation. That's what took down the BBC last year if I recall correctly.
Good luck with finding a provider. I had 30Gbps of mitigation but it frankly sounds like it wouldn't be affordable to add you to that network with the kinds of attacks youre getting.

That's kinda the definition of a distributed denial of service attack
We've been with OVH for almost 2 years now, and yes it's correct that their mitigation is shared. We receive large attacks on a daily basis and haven't had any attack take down our servers.
This typically doesn't help with moderate attacks but I'd love to try it out. PM'd.DDOS protection is not that important if you configure your firewall right. PM me, I can help you with a solution I use for my server
