i want to buy a dedi server with 64 gigs of ram and to split that dedi into 64 1 gig servers. Could someone explain to me where dedi server core count and ghz come into play with minecraft servers. Also what dedi server types do you recommend?

Depending on if you want to literally split the dedis resources into 1/64ths and have them as a VPS or just want to run 64mc servers off the dedi, if you want to have multiple MC servers I recommend you buying a dedicated server and just installing multicraft and contact someone to set it up for you if you don't know how. But if you literally want to run 64VM's, that's going to be a problem as you don't want to spend over $100 on IP's a month as well as your only option will be OpenVZ VM's as it's more dynamic depending on how much ram is being used across all the VM's as well as you then don't have to dedicate hardware, only limit it to the max that it can use.
If your buying a server and only have a budget of $100 or less and want a premium experience I recommend getting the "Intel Xeon E3-1240v5" for
£40 a month, then upgrade the ram to 64gb for £30 more, totalling £70/
$90 (before tax).

It depends on the software that you want to use to manage and control the Minecraft Servers with, for example, something like Multicraft is great because it's pretty light on the machine and won't really affect the performance, its even better if you install it on it's own VPS, which we would recommend and can throw into this bundle for free as well
