Hosting; An Opportunity

Hello! My name is Sarah I'm 16 years old and Im from Ireland. I recently got a really cool idea for a big group project, and I need you to help me. I've been told be a few people online, over the 6 years I've been on playing video games that its always a great start to have a community behind you. It's truly life changing if you do.

So basically I want to start up a host, but not just any host. The management team will consist of 6 people (give or take a few). Before you say, ' its probably someone just wanting a few quid profit as a summer job.' It is not a summer job,
1. Since it isnt Summer.
2. Its never summer in Ireland.
3. I'm not that Kind of person.

This host will have everything you need, (once we get up and running... I have connections) Dedicated Servers, VPS, Game Hosting, Teamspeak, etc. etc. You get my point. I'm wanting the host to have a few options for every type of game - like Premium, Average, Budget (etc.) So the clients have an option to do what they plead with what they have paid for. So they can explore their service.

If the 6 Members (give or take) could give in around $20 a month towards the Host and the Business , we would be laughing! I know it isn't an outrageous amount. But its a start on something that people would like!

Can you provide us with any of those ideas? Having no USP is usually the main problem with most startup hosts.

Going into business with people you've just met, for the purpose of going into business together, isn't going to end well. A 6 person team is huge to start a host.

It will be the case of 'Testing' (not really, just getting to know them, what knowledge do they have & seeing how professional they are)(It also may not be 6 members, it may only be 3-4).

Hi. I'll respond as a current partner in this hosting venture. I completely agree with you. This is certainly an over-crowded market. The difference with us, we're only going to hire those with experience. Many hosting companies begin with one or two experienced system admins and owners. Then they hire 10 year olds and accept payments only through Paypal F&F, this leads to the company folding almost instantaneously.

It sounds like you're just this up as you go. Do you have an actual business plan? Have you actually evaluated the hosting market-space? Right now you sound like you just wanna copy all the other shithosts in this forum because you think you could do it better. Why?

oh god, that might make you "unique" on these forums, but everywhere else - that's an expectation lmao. imo it isn't something worth building a business on, and why should people with experience work for you? generally talented people have the leverage with projects like this
