So with me always interested in gameservers and web development, I think I want to venture out into owning a hosting company. I see a lot of these around now a days but I have great plans and know that I can dedicate and run this properly.

I want to know what requirements will be needed to run a hosting company.

Thank you so much if you can list them for me, I do have a general idea but would love to see your guys ideas on what I will need.

There are no official "requirements" however, if you looking for people to take you seriously then you should look into getting a legal company, a decent website and a range of products to offer on launch. You will also want to ensure you comply with local laws (most notably the data protection act if you're from the UK). You'll also want to ensure you have a good amount of startup capital as you won't sell out overnight and might need to self-fund it for several months.

If you need any more help or have any questions then let me know. I'm not an expert in the field but I do have some knowledge.

Kind regards,

Thank you for the reply, I currently have money to start this project off and have a steady income each week to put back into making sure I am fine for the first few months when I am not making anything back.

I am completely new to all this and don't really have the knowledge to actually code anything right now as I am still learning. If you know where I can start off and what to buy first etc I would love the help!

If anyone else is willing to help jumpstart this project and become part of it let me know!
