As I've explained multiple times already $0.50/GB is not a healthy price. It's impossible to run a company at that price and still maintain a good profit margin due to the fact PayPal fees are already $0.30 + a few % of the total amount. You also need to expect less performance from a server as most host that sell at that price oversell a lot of maintain a bit of profits or put a lot of clients on 1 machine. You are probably better of looking at hosts who sell at $1.5+/GB.

Conclusion:
You get what you pay for, if you pay more you can generally expect better performance and if you pay less you get less performance.

Just a quick addition to what you have said in regards to payment gateways and their fees:
This also depends on the payment processor you use - not everyone is using PayPal (most of them do though).
Not to mention that you can apply for things like PayPal PLUS or PayPal Micropayments.

For example, we only pay 5% + 10 cents per transaction < $20.00 while other providers need to pay 1.9% of the total amount + $0.35. You can request a fee reduction by contacting PayPal and when having a specific amount of sales per month.

I don't think its healthy for any company to lose profits. I dont see a reason for selling at $0.50/GB if you dont make any profit, or a really, really, really low profit.

Sure, they can afford it. But why would they? Losing money isn't just fun, it's losing money.

Sooner or later a company that loses money will die, either because the money runs out or when they finally realise that losing money is not a good business strategy.

We own our hardware and IP blocks (you are welcome to check this here: https://ipinfo.io/AS204613/185.227.69.0/) in the Netherlands at Serverius. The only thing that is being resold is our cPanel webhosting in the United Kingdom which will be replaced with hosting in the Netherlands once we launch our NL location (ETA 2-4 weeks) and our Premium Hosting in France.

Regarding Peach Host; The servers are indeed partially owned and partially rented out - The Canada location is hosted through OVH and the US location is hosted through an owned server (as far as I'm aware of).

We actually don't oversell at all, we have over 50% resources available on our nodes currently, and we have them marked as full.

With peach host we are not really in it for the money, or the gain, we are trying to help the community by providing hosting at a fraction of the cost of competitors for higher, or similar quality.

If you find anyone else for a cheaper price, it's most likely not going to be as good quality.

The issue here is, we really have as high quality servers as say, Pebble host, or more expensive host even, but people assume you get more because you pay more, and that's not always true.

Also, with the claims of us overselling, or being less quality for our price, that's really not true, that's just something that competitors (who are more expensive then you) like to say to try and make you buy from them.

Here are the specs for both of our locations, compare them to any host within our price range and you can see our specs hold up.
