Hosting for new MC Network (Proposal)

Hello MC-Market,

I am currently looking for a host that can provide a VPS/small dedicated server for the new network that I am planning on launching near the end of June. As for payment of this service, I am willing to help out with the hosting company itself (having experience with Multicraft administration, WHMCS, Blesta, Tawk.to, some systems administration, and client communication). I understand that this is a long shot in many cases, but I am hopeful for the future and determined to try anything possible to have a successful launch for my network this summer.

Because of this, I ask that the comments stay conservative and not hate on myself for this proposal. I understand that this may be more hypothetical than reality in many professional hosting solutions, but I figured that it would be worth a shot to pitch the idea here.

I have considered this, but I am trying to avoid OVH due to past experiences with them (nothing against what anyone else thinks).

Maybe you didn't ask nicely.

When you pay hundreds of dollars for hosting, you shouldn't be having any problems.

It took OVH 2 weeks to fix the port speed on my server. For 2 weeks I had 20 Mbps port, which coursed my server to lag.

I appreciate the feedback about OVH, but I would prefer that the thread returns to the purpose that it had before (this goes for everyone that has replied).

Therefore, this thread was created to look for hosting other than OVH.

Given my through experience with hosts, I have to recommend MPGServers (https://mpgservers.com)
I can attest to their excellent support, superior network and free DDOS protection (legitimate DDOS protection...not like the "DDOS protection" you'd get from GGservers).

Can you show me? Also, consider these factors:

• If you live far away from their datacenter, you will not get a good ping
• If you have poor internet speeds, you will not get a good ping
• Are you even pinging the datacenter? Or are you pinging the website?
• Ping alone isn't a good indicator. It doesn't provide nearly enough details

Sorry you feel we have ping issues, I assure you though it is not on our end. We host servers upwards of 600+ players who cannot have issues like that. Please feel free to PM me so I can look into any issues you had!

Okay I might have over reacted to it and said a lot but still there are ping issues and I stopped using it because of that not saying its bad just gets ping problems and I think it needs some EU servers

Well, sorry to hear you went someone else. EU has been talked about but since we like to run our own hardware, EU will cost a lot to open and we instead are opening other US locations. Who knows, we may offer EU some day.
