Hello there, recently I have gotten very interested in the hosting world. I want to learn more about it and possibly become a future employee of one. Currently though I need a little more experience which is why I am making this thread. The point of this thread is to find an unpaid position at a server hosting company. Consider me as your unpaid intern.
Why should we even think about adding you?
I have lots of past experience running and managing minecraft servers or things in general. I have been active in Minecraft's community for over 3 years now. I held a staff position at Brawl (server network) for several months, I then resigned from the network, I was not demoted (evidence). I also have lots of experience with server management. I have run/created 2 server networks in my lifetime, one called FusionFactions and another called ClutchGames, both which did well but just were not my interest. Finally I am also a decent Java Developer. I have been using Java for over 1 year now and I have gotten pretty good at it. I mainly use it for developing Java Plugins with the Spigot API. I currently only have 1 public plugin. Most of my development is done for a server I'm currently getting paid to develop for called EclipsePrison. I work for this network and help develop most of their plugins.
If I were to hire you, what would you like your position to be?
Support, I would like to start off by helping users in live chats or by replying to their questions and concerns. It seems like a job I am more then capable of doing. I know lots about servers in general and Minecraft. I can use this knowledge to help inform users about what plans to buy, how to use multicraft, and what plugins and specific things they should have.
What do you want in return?
Nothing, all I want is to gain experience in this field of work which is why I'm offering my time for free.
