Hey! So currently I've got a hosting package running with NameCheap for my server's website, and I have been trying for over a day to get the domain to link up with both the website, and the server. A namecheap representative told me that it was impossible to link the same domain to both, as the DNS records interfere with each other, however I know it has been done before. Whenever I had it linked to the server, and then added it to my website, it disconnected, and vice versa. Please inform me if there is a possible way to do this.
To connect to the minecraft server, I've used the following SRV records
https://clients.mcprohosting.com/knowledgebase/58/How-to-Connect-a-Domain---GoDaddy.html
However, for the second A record, I used srv instead of play or mc, so that the server's ip address would be minestorm.net, instead of play.minestorm.net or mc.minestorm.net. We'd prefer to keep it this way. Any advice? Thanks.

Use the same machine with the same IP (either a Dedi or a VPS), or, point your server IP to yourdomain.com and your website to www.yourdomain.com.

And to go the extra mile, get your host to return a redirect when they connect to yourdomain.com with a 8080 port :)
