I am currently switching between Fortnite platform and Minecraft platform. I am considering coming back to minecraft fully but most times it just gets my brain bored since it's the same thing like. I like making servers so when I make a server for example HCF it just seems boring cause all you do is run down a road, claim land, build base, pvp/raid. I've been wondering how could I make this fun? If I did a faction server what would be good like quests, missons, custom abilities etc. What do you think?

I have been playing Minecraft for 7 years with what I estimate to be 10k+ hours, and I have often found myself in similar situations. The best way I make myself enjoy the game more is simply switching between interests, jumping in and out of different pursuits to give the game its "fresh" feeling again. If you feel the game getting boring, I suggest you try modded Minecraft. Up until this year, I hadn't played much modded Minecraft like I used to when I was really young, and decided one day that I should try it out. The infinite possibilities created by mods lets you sink a ton of time into simply exploring every new item in the creative menu.

If modded isn't for you, then there are a lot of other vanilla pursuits that I can recommend such as the technical aspect of Minecraft. If you play a lot of multiplayer, then taking a break to explore the wonderful world of mob farms and redstone contraptions may be just the thing for you. After playing tons of mini game and factions servers for I few years, I took this same respite and enjoyed myself immensely. Check out Ilmango on YouTube if you're interested in this aspect.

If you want to get technical in a different way, you can try creating a custom server like you mentioned in your post. Honestly, it's very easy to get a great server setup by just putting the time and effort into customizing plugins made by creators at the front end. There are many many plugins that let you create an RPG style environment such as Quests, MCMMO, Races & Classes, Mythic Mobs, and the wide variety of GUI and spawner plugins. The biggest pitfall for most aspiring server owners is their unwillingness to invest their passion into the creation. If you find the subject fascinating, and have the determination to see a project through, you truly can create something original.

Other than that, I do recommend trying out your building skills in a creative world to see how much you like it. If you end up loosing track of time and building a lot, consider watching some tutorials or looking at professional builds for inspiration, and your building career may just take off from there.

Also, I do agree that a SMP server is one of the best experiences you can have in the game, and it becomes even better if you enjoy technical Minecraft as mentioned above.

Nowadays you really have to find a server with a community that works for you. Playing on servers like Hypixel where you grind XP from mini games gets stale very fast. I’d try and find a small to medium sized community where you can meet people and maybe invite your friends to join you.

I enjoy Hypixel so I can be toxic to 12 year olds. Fun.

I can last probably a month at a time playing Hypixel before getting bored. I really enjoy being called a hacker in every other game I play by children. It’s very entertaining.

I would certainly recommend playing a Mini-games Server, possibly Hypixel or HiveMC? Our staff team tend to have a weekly play as a team to take a break away from business and create some adrenaline.
