How can i make my server 1.8 and 1.9 compatible

If you mean your are a 1.8 server and you want 1.9 players to be able to connect you can use the protocol hack ViaVersion.

yep ive been using it now since it came out, as are a lot of big servers, ive had no issues with it. just a few things you need to do and then your good to go, all the info is on his page
Ahh, Protocol Hacks... The solution to most peoples problems for the next <insert time till most plugins/builds are stable at 1.9>.
