How do I allow someone to be in two groups [VIP][Civilian]Ingamename-

I want to allow donors or moderators or staff or other special ranks such as developer and youtuber and architect to beable to still play the server like normal and still rankup with /ar check (autorank plugin )

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

They probably used PermissionsEX. PermissionsEX has a weighting setting that lets you have a prefix from a rank and a suffix from another. Not sure if the weighting works for two different prefixes though.

What you do is:

/manuadd (username) group THEN /manuaddsub (username) group. *Tip* You can add as many sub groups to a player.

After that, you basically give them the prefix in, /manuaddv (username) prefix (prefix).
For me personally I usually have one prefix and one suffix in the players name if they had multiple groups.
But that just adds a user prefix, which means you have to add a new prefix manually every time they rank up.

Example someone bought VIP donor rank and had the Free Rank 1. You do /manuaddv {username} prefix "[VIP] [Rank 1]"

But then if the player buys the second free rank, his prefix will still be [VIP] [Rank 1].

As Krate said, using PermissionsEX is a lot better, because you can use the weighting setting to get the prefix done.

It doesn't have any "bugs" however the plugin might glitch if not used correctly. If you need help you can check the github page of PermissionsEX or hire someone to do it for you.

Yea and what's wrong with setting up that? Adds the user a new prefix everytime he ranks up?

He wants that to be done automatically, which he cannot, because using your method makes it so it's only a User Prefix, which no rank up plugin can calculate unless made with GM support.

Here's what I mean still using the same example..
Example someone bought VIP donor rank and had the Free Rank 1. You do /manuaddv {username} prefix "[VIP] [Rank 1]"

But then if the player buys the second free rank, his prefix will still be [VIP] [Rank 1].
The Rankup plugin will do /manuadd [person] rank2 but their prefix will still be [VIP] [Rank 1] as the rankup plugin only adds him to the group and the user prefix overrides any other prefix.

Use the plugin PrisonPrefix. That will solve your problems a lot more than having to change entire permission plugins.
