I'm starting a Pvp server, but it only works if there's enough hype around it.

Just be excited about your project, and have a smart means of marketing your project once you have a beta done

Get a trailer, get a active discord, get YouTubers to record showcase before release, make sure you set a release date, host events with your community before release, make a website with a countdown

That definitely is a way to market your server but I have no clue if that's the way to generate a hype effect you're looking for, all of these creators have a loyal fan-base that follow them around everywhere, if you pay to have them for 2 days, you'll have the most active server for 2 days but after that, the server is done.

To create a hype effect you need to have hype material, meaning, originality which is incredibly hard to make if you're not on 1.16 with a great budget or know everyone in the community to make a great server for 1.8.
