How do i upgrade my rank on Hypixel?

It is supposed to charge you 4.40$ , if you didn't have VIP then it would cost you 8.24$ , proof (an account that doesn't have a rank) :

No, it should be $4.40. It uses your username to check what rank you are and adjusts it accordingly.
If you use a username of someone without a rank, it will show $8.24 for VIP+.
