Hey! Sometimes I see accounts on twitter following hundreds of thousands (and sometimes millions) of people. I am in the process of trying to grow a twitter account and was wondering how these people do it.

Does anyone know how? Is there some sort of bot?

Thank you for the help! :)

Ehm, yeah there're probably bots out there.

It just makes your account look really bad if you follow hundreds of thousand of people. Obvious botting. And then if you unfollow afterwards it still looks suss. Chances are the accounts who follow back won't actually pay attention to your Tweets as well. So you could have a few thousand followers but only maybe 10 of them will do anything with your Tweets. It's nearly as bad as botting followers.

When you're verified you can follow more than 5000

Most people will use a headless browser to "sift" information and verify if certain accounts fit into their criteria
